Marleybrook House is an alternative wedding venue in Kent that can somehow pull off having a 17th century cottage with a fairground. Featuring stunning gardens and the fun vintage fairground, it provides a magical backdrop for weddings all year round. Known for its quirky touches, Marleybrook House creates a memorable experience for couples and their guests, whether you’re dreaming of a laid-back garden party or a stylish evening celebration.
Once the home of the legendary Eartha Kitt, known for her iconic role as Yzma in Disney's The Emperor's New Groove, Marleybrook House has been creating magical wedding memories for over a decade. This enchanting venue features a beautiful forest, a whimsical funfair, and a spacious outdoor shelter, making it perfect for large celebrations. Couples can choose to have their ceremony at Marleybrook or in the charming Canterbury town centre just a short drive away, seamlessly continuing the festivities at the venue.

We are so so grateful to Tom Keenan Photography for capturing SO many gorgeous moments of our wedding in Canterbury. From the moment of booking, Tom was in constant communication with us and was so easy to work with. We really appreciated how he took the time to meet with us to discuss the sorts of shots we wanted and to talk through timings etc. As soon as we’d booked him there was no doubt in my mind that we’d made an excellent choice!!!

On the wedding day itself, Tom and his second shooter were nothing short of brilliant! We had a separate wedding and reception venue and it was lovely to know that having two shooters meant that there was always a photographer present where we/the guests were. Tom was an absolute wizard with the lighting too - they looked absolutely beautiful.

We also LOVED the way that both Tom and Nisha got on so so well with our family and friends, making them laugh, putting them at ease- everything felt so lighthearted and carefree. My husband and I had such fun doing our couple shoots where we got to hang out with Tom and just be our goofy selves!!! They were easily some of my favourite moments of the day, and I think the photos show how happy we were. ☺️ Tom also worked closely with our reception venue and everything felt super organised and well put together.

Honestly we had the BEST day and Tom, we are so grateful for you!
Pick this man as your wedding photographer, you will not regret it!!!!
As a wedding photographer, I can’t help but smile behind the camera at Marleybrook House. The team is truly dedicated to ensuring you have an incredible experience, from the funfair to every little detail of the venue. I love how you can start your day getting married in the garden beneath a stunning shelter, then toast with champagne under a stylish canopy, explore the enchanting forest, and dance the night away in the reception area. With so many beautiful spaces, your guests will always find something exciting to enjoy.
If you’re thinking about Marleybrook House for your wedding, it’s worth considering the size of your guest list. Smaller gatherings might feel a bit overshadowed by the venue’s spaciousness, but if you're planning a larger family celebration, everyone will love the freedom to explore the beautiful grounds away from the general public. Summer and early autumn are especially popular times to tie the knot here, as the stunning trees provide a lovely backdrop. Imagine it when the leaves turn red! That said, a winter wedding would also be a delightful and picturesque choice.
