What to Do if it Rains on Your Big Day
January 16, 2024
Have you ever heard the phrase “Rain is good luck on a wedding day”?
Well, we had plenty of it for Stacey & Guy’s wet wedding in Canterbury, Kent. But actually, this lovely couple didn’t need luck – after all, they had love.
Around 40 people attended the intimate ceremony which included and involved Stacey’s nieces being flower girls and with Stacey’s Nan being present it truly was an occasion with every generation! I love seeing when kids enjoy weddings and they all loved this one – especially throwing confetti. This wedding was perfect for the “basic” package I offer yet they made it their own by adding a second photographer and premium album. It is helpful being able to offer short, simple packages but it brings me so much fulfilment when you have thought about what you want for your day and have really made the package your own with customisations.
Rain relented right as we decided to light up the sparklers outside and from there the music started. Blankets covered those wanting to get cosy and “Pimp your own gin” was there for those wanting to celebrate. Make note that if you want to have sparklers for your wedding it is a really fun idea, however always ask your wedding planner to purchase the longest, brightest sparklers that they can find. Last minute buys on Amazon are not typically recommended and can result in a dim display.
Stacey & Guy I adored photographing your wedding day – your family is super fun and the personal touches throughout the day made it so clear to see the love that surrounds you. I hope that marriage brings you much joy over the coming years.
